BALLAD OF BLACK & GOLD

Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Nick James,
Reflection Eternal,
Talib Kweli,
The Free Experience
I have previously commented on Talib not sounding as smart in interviews as he does in his songs but who cares at this point. He probably holds the title for making rap songs with an important and coherent message (i.e. Mos' last album was dope but the direction of his songs are starting to meander all over the place). This song is about the oil industry controlling Nigeria. It's dope. Furthermore, Hi-Tek is phenomenal.
