In a time of war and desperation, a holiday celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King couldn't come sooner. May we seek his wisdom as conduit of courage and action. His patience and vision is what needs to be replicated. Lately I've been thinking about the concept of brilliance and intelligence and how it falls short in changing the world. What we need is wisdom. Far too often we become drunk off our own brilliance that we fail to see the importance of reciprocity in human relationships. Brilliance is talent but wisdom is truth. I know I may sound like I'm in the Nation of Gods and Earths, but Knowledge + Wisdom = Understanding. Below is a video of Dr. King talking about war he his disdain of American Imperialism. His words are virtuous, but more importantly, wise.
